Detailed Solution

The Indian government is responsible for providing free and compulsory education to all children up to the age of 14.
According to Article 21-A of the Indian Constitution, free and compulsory education for children between 6 and 14 years is essential. The Right to Education Act (RTE) is an Act of the Indian Parliament that establishes basic standards for primary schools and declares education a fundamental right. In addition, the Act mandates a 25% reservation of seats in schools for disadvantaged(SC/ST/differently abled) students. Furthermore, the Act states that until elementary school is completed, no student may be held back, expelled, or forced to pass a board test.
