Detailed Solution

At the Indian National Congress session held in 1927 at Madras, it was decided to boycott the Simon Commission at every stage and in every form. This decision was made because there were no Indians in the commission. The Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha decided to support the decision made by Congress. So, when the commission arrived in India in 1928, it was welcomed with the slogan- 'Simon go back. This united different groups and parties like the Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha temporarily for once at least.
