Detailed Solution

The Indian Parliament is bicameral. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha are the two houses of the Indian Parliament. The President, who leads the legislative branch, has the power to adjourn and dissolve the Lok Sabha as well as call both Houses of Parliament to order. While the Lok Sabha represents the entire Indian population, the Rajya Sabha represents the states that make up the Indian Federation. A bicameral system has been advocated as being ideal in order to prevent rapid and severe legislation, limit democracy, and ensure debate. While the upper chamber permits professionals to take part in legislative proceedings, the lower house is mostly made up of elected legislators.
