Detailed Solution

The Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir had its own Constitution.
The Jammu and Kashmir Constitution was the legal document that set the basis for the state government of Jammu and Kashmir. The Constitution of India awarded Jammu and Kashmir exceptional status among Indian states, and it was the only Indian state with its own constitution. Article 370 of the Constitution of India stipulates that the Parliament of India and the Union government have limited authority over the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The constitution was ratified on November 17, 1956, and it went into force on January 26, 1957. But an order made by the President of India rendered it ineffective on August 5, 2019, and it ceased to be applicable from that day.
