The Indian Statutory Commission that arrived in India in 1928 was led by Sir John Simon. The Indian Statutory Commission, commonly referred to as the Simon Commission, was a group of seven MPs led by Sir John Simon. In order to analyse the constitutional reforms, the Commission came to India in 1928. The Simon Commission visited India to gather data for a report on the effectiveness of the 1919 Government of India Act. It was met with severe protests since the Commission didn't have a single Indian member.
