Inertia refers to the body's inherent resistance to change, and mass refers to the body's mass. An object's natural tendency to resist a change in its motion or rest state is called inertia. Both quantities are directly proportional to inertia. This means that as the mass of the body increases, its inertia also increases. Similarly, the more the density of the object, the more its inertia. These are the two factors on which the inertia of a body depends.[150][151]
