Inside perimeter of track = 400m
total length of two straight portions = 90 + 90 = 180
The length of remaining portion = 400 – 180 = 220m
Circumference of two remaining semi circle is πr + πr
= 2 π r
⇒ 2 π r = 220
r = 35π
The radius of circular portion of outer track = 35714
= 49m
Area of Track = Area of two rectangular dimensions
The area of circular rings
= 2520 + 3616
= 6126m2
Length of outer track
= 180 + 308
= 488m
