Andaman and Nicobar Islands lie on the Bay of Bengal.
Most of the parts of this island are under the Union Territory of India, with a few islands under Myanmar. It covers a total area of 6408 square kilometres and has a total of 325 islands. Few tribes, including local people, live in Andaman. This island is also home to another tribe called Jarwa. North Sentinel island is a restricted place and not allowed for visitors. The Government of India also protects their right to privacy. Ten Degree Channel separates the islands, and the Nicobar lies south of Andaman.
