Detailed Solution

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre occurred at Amritsar.
The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also called the Amritsar holocaust, took place on 13 April 1919 at the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, when some groups gathered together peacefully to protest against the arrest of pro-Indian independence leader; Dr Saifuddin Kitchlew and Dr Satya Pal. Seeing the people gathered, British general R.EH. Dyer ordered the troops to block the entry gate of the Bagh so that the people couldn’t flee from the place. The troops got ordered to open fire on the crowd peacefully protesting there. The troops fired ruthlessly until their ammunition was exhausted, killing thousands of people. This mass killing is called the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
