Detailed Solution

The Khilafat and Non-cooperation Movement were launched in 1919.
To persuade the British Government to change its stance toward Turkey, the All India Khilafat Committee was established in early 1919 under the direction of the Ali brothers, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Ajmal Khan, and Hasrat Mohani. During an All India Khilafat Conference convened in Delhi in November 1919, a call for a boycott of British products was made. The Gandhian movement against the British began with the Non-Cooperation Movement. When Mahatma Gandhi returned to India in 1915, he began to organise peasants' and labourers' rallies against the atrocities being committed against them, such as those in Kheda, Champaran, and Ahmedabad. The Khilafat Movement was the inspiration behind the founding of the Movement.
