Detailed Solution

Given:
New mass, m'= 2m
New velocity, v'= 3V
Initial kinetic energy, KE= 100 J

To find:
New Kinetic energy, K.E'

Solution:
We know that,
KE = 12mv2           ....(1)

KE'= 12m'v'2

KE'= 12(2m)(3v)2

KE'= (2)(3)2 ×12mv2

KE'=2× 9 ×12mv2

KE'=18 KE

KE'=18 ×100= 1800 J

Therefore, the new kinetic energy will be 1800 J.
