Detailed Solution

The kingdom on the banks of river Ganga and its tributaries is now in Bihar.
Rajagriha, where Magadha's capital was located, was near the Ganges River. Because it was one of the sixteen mahajanapadas, Magadha gained popularity. It is currently situated in Bihar. The Magadha people, also known as the Angas, Gandharis, and Mujavats, are first mentioned in the Atharvaveda. The geographic centre of the kingdom was in the area of Bihar, south of the Ganges. Before Pataliputra, its initial capital was Rajagriha, the present Rajgir (modern Patna). Ancient Magadha, a kingdom in northeastern India, was formerly situated in what is now the state of Bihar. It was the foundation for several larger kingdoms or empires between the sixth and seventh century BCE. Magadha had a reputation for strength.
