Detailed Solution

We know that, Area of the rectangle = Length × Breadth

(a) 9 m and 6 m

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 9 × 6 = 54

Therefore, the Area of the rectangle = 54 m2

(b) 17 m and 3 m

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 17 × 3 = 51

Therefore, the Area of the rectangle = 51 m2

(c)

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 4 × 14 = 56

Therefore, the Area of the rectangle = 56 m2

The largest area of the rectangle is 56 m2, which corresponds to (c), and the smallest area is 51 m2, which corresponds to (b).
