Given the length and the breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 7:4. The cost of fencing the field at ₹ 25 per meter is ₹ 3300.
Perimeter of field is,
= cost of fencing rectangular field cost of fencing per meter  
= 3300 25 m  
= 132m
Let the length = 7x.
And the breadth = 4x.
Now, the perimeter of rectangle =2× Length+breadth  .
= 2(7x + 4x)
= 22x
Equating both perimeters,
22x = 132
x= 132 22   x = 6
The length is,
=7×6 =42m   The length of the field is 42 m.
