Given the length and the breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 7:4. The cost of fencing the field at ₹ 25 per meter is ₹ 3300.
Perimeter of field is,

= cost of fencing rectangular field cost of fencing per meter

=

330025 m

= 132m
Let the length = 7x.
And the breadth = 4x.
Now, the perimeter of rectangle

= 2 × L e n g t h + b r e a d t h

.
= 2(7x + 4x)
= 22x
Equating both perimeters,
22x = 132

x = 13222

x = 6
The length is,

= 7 × 6 = 42 m

The length of the field is 42 m.
