The length of fallopian tube in female human is

The length of fallopian tube in female human is 10-12 cm. Fallopian tube extends from the periphery of each ovary to uterus, the part closer to the ovary is funnel-shaped infundibulum. The edges of infundibulum possess finger-like projections called fimbriae, which help in collection of the ovum after ovulation. The infundibulum leads to a wider part of the fallopian tube called ampulla. The last part is isthmus has a narrow lumen and it joins the uterus. Fertilization takes place in ampulla.
