Detailed Solution

Given:
Linear momentum, p= 2 x K.E    ......(1)

To find:
Velocity(v)

Solution:
We know that,
KE = 12mv2
 p= mv

where, m is the mass body and v is the velocity of the body.

Substituting the formulae in equation 1,
mv = 2 ×12 mv2
1 = 2 ×12 v

v= 1 m/s

Therefore, the velocity of the body must be 1 m/s.
