Detailed Solution

The Lion capital is carved in stone.
Ashoka conveyed his message by writing inscriptions on stones. Ashoka carved many pillars but the most important is the Lion capital which is carved in Sarnath pillars located in India  (ca. 250 BCE). Now the capital is displayed at the Sarnath Museum and the pillar is still there in the same place where it has been previously. This pillar is adopted as the national emblem of India. This emblem is also depicted in the one rupee and 2 rupee notes. The Capital has three parts, which include the carved symbols of lotus, various animals, Ashoka chakra, drum, etc. each of them has its important message.
