Detailed Solution

The Maasai cattle herders live primarily in East Africa.
The Maasai cattle herders live in East Africa with Bedouins, Somalis, Borans, and Turkana pastoral groups. Africa is home to half of the world's pastoral population. Because agriculture is unfavourable in these areas, cow herding has become the dominant food production system. These pastoral herders breed cattle, camels, goats, and sheep and sell dairy products, animal skins, meat, and wool. The Maasai cattle herders experienced many changes during colonial authority. Their vast swaths of the country, from northern Kenya to the steppes of North Tanzania, were divided into different colonies in a struggle for territorial claims.
