Detailed Solution

Concept: The one who worked to understand the relation between two charges is a Danish physicist. He discovers the concept between the charges. Oersted made several observations and theories that are adopted by the world. He discovered the magnetic effects of current.
Hans Christian Oersted, a Danish physicist and chemist, was the first to demonstrate the link between the two. His experiment demonstrated that when a compass is placed near a current-carrying wire, the compass needle deflects.
The concept of the magnetic field was developed to understand the concept between the electric charges.
1. When he tried to pass the current in the direction of north to south, he noticed that the magnetic needle's north pole moved towards the east direction.
2. When he tried it on the opposite side to the current direction, he noticed that the direction of the needle of the north pole of the needle had also changed. i.e. towards the west.
Hence, the correct option is 2.
