Detailed Solution

Given data:

radius10 cm and magnetic induction 55

Concept used: moving charges and magnetism

Detailed solution:

The magnetic field in the center of an R-radius circular loop that is carrying current is  Bcenter =μ0i2R

The magnetic field on the axis is :Baxis=μ0iR22R2+x23/2 where R is the radius of the circular loopcarrying the current, and X is the distance from the loop’s center .

 Given Bcenter =55Baxis

μ0i2R=55μ0R22R2+x23/2

R2+x23R6=(55)2=125

R2+x2R23=125

R2+x2R2=5

1+x2R2=5

x2R2=4

 x=2R=2×10=20 cm
