Concept: A kWh metre is an electric metre that measures the amount of electrical energy used in a home.
The output terminals of these kWh metres have live wires coming out of them. Another fuse, known as the main fuse, is installed in these live wires.If the main fuse is connected to the neutral or earth wire, excess current flows across the wire but is not disconnected.
