Detailed Solution

Concept: Through the processes of photosynthesis, respiration, and transpiration, plants release their waste products. Transpiration is the mechanism by which extra water is expelled.
In plant life, the excretion of gaseous waste takes place through stomatal pores on leaves. For breathing, oxygen emitted at some point of photosynthesis is used, and for photosynthesis, carbon dioxide emitted at some point of breathing is used. Excess water is likewise excreted from the frame of the plant through the stomatal pores and from the fruit and stem surfaces as water vapour. The water elimination mechanism is known as transpiration.
Hence, option 3 is the correct answer.
