Detailed Solution

The major problem faced by farmers in India is the lack of water, the high cost of seed and fertiliser, and the small holdings of farmers.
1)      There is a lack of availability of water for irrigation. Most of the areas in rural areas have adequate technology or resources to draw water for irrigation.
2)      Different seeds, pesticides, insecticides, chemical fertilisers, etc., are expensive and difficult for farmers to buy.
3)      Most of the farmers have small holdings, which are economically unviable.
4)      In the event of crop failure, it becomes difficult to repay the loan taken from the banks. To repay the loan, they sell their crops at low prices.
