Detailed Solution

Weight of an object when measured on the surface of the moon will be 100 N.
Given data and assumptions:
Mass of an object on the earth, me=60 kg Acceleration due to gravity on the earth, ge=10 m/s2 Weight of the object on the earth, =We
We know,
We=me×ge
 We=60 × 10
 We=600 N
Thus, the weight of the object on the earth is 600 N.
We know that,
weight of an object on the moon, Wm=16×  Weight of the object on the earth
Wm=16×600
Wm=100 N
Thus, the weight of the object on the moon would be 100 N.
