The mass of ship is  $2\times {10}^{7}kg$. On applying a force of  $25\times {10}^{5}N$, it is displaced through 25 m. After the displacement ,the velocity acquired by the ship will be

Force $F=25\times {10}^{5}N$

Displacement $s=25m$

According to the Newton’s second law of motion 

$F=ma$

$a=\frac{F}{m}=\frac{25\times {10}^5}{2\times {10}^7}=12.5\times {10}^{-2} m/s^2$

From $v^2-u^2=2as$

$v^2=2\times 12.5\times {10}^{-2}\times 25$

$v=2.5 m/s$
