Detailed Solution

The members of the Jacobin club belonged mainly to the less prosperous sections of society.
The French Revolution saw the emergence of various political clubs, which became a meeting place for people wanting to discuss government policies, debate issues, and plan their strategies for future courses of action. The most famous political clubs were the Jacobin club, deriving its name from its meeting place at a former convent of St. Jacobin in Paris. As the revolution progressed and became radicalised, its members started belonging mainly to the working, artisanal classes, and the less prosperous members of the society like small shopkeepers, printers, watchmakers, pastry cooks, shoemakers, servants, and daily wage labourers became a part of the club.
