Detailed Solution

The minimum wage set by the government for farm labourers is Rs. 60 per day. Farm labourers belong to the unorganised sector of employment. Most of these workers are landless or have very little land. They work as labourers in the fields of big farmers and landlords. Many times, they are exploited by landlords and big farmers. They are paid very small daily wages and made to work for an extended period. To avoid this, the government had set the salaries for farm labourers to be Rs. 60, and the landlords and big farmers had to pay a minimum of Rs. 60 per day as their daily wages to the labourers.
