The minute hand of a wall clock is 20 cm long. Then the distance covered of minute hand of the clock from 9:00 am to 9:30 am is 0.63 m.
Given, length of minute hand, L= 20 cm= 0.2 m.                                                                                                              So, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am, the minute hand of the clock moves from 12 to 6 position of a wall clock.                                                                                                                                                                                    Therefore, the distance covered by minute hand= length of arc from 12 to 6                                                         distance=πL=227×0.2= 0.63 m.
