Crms=3RTM; Here R is gas constant

T absolute is temperature and M is molar mass of gas.

The gas which has greater value of TM,it has greater RMS speed.

Case 1: Hydrogen at −50° C

For Hydrogen gas, TMValue=-50+2732

=2232

 TMH2=111.5

Case 2: For methane  CH4 at 298 K

For methane gas, TM value=29816=18.6

TMCH4=18.6

Case 3: For nitrogen at 1000 °C :

For nitrogen gas, =1000+27328=45.4

Case 4: For Oxygen at 0 °C :

For oxygen gas,  TM value=0+27332=8.5
