Detailed Solution

Given,
Monthly pocket money of Ravi : Monthly pocket money of Ravi = 5:7
Let, monthly pocket money of Ravi = 5x Monthly pocket money of Sanjeev = 7x
Expenditures of Ravi : Expenditures of Ravi = 3:5
Now, savings of both = Rs. 80.
As, Total money – saving = Expenditures
Thus,
5x-807x-80=35
25x-400=21x-240
25x-21x=400-240
4x=160
x=40
So, the pocket money of Rave,
=5x
=5×40
= Rs. 200
Pocket money of Sanjeev
=7x
=7×40
= Rs. 280
Option 1 is correct.
