The most important feature of nomadic pastoralists is that they herd cattle. Nomads are people who keep on travelling from one place to another. They do not have a fixed settlement. They use these cattle to earn their livelihood and for dairy products such as milk. In India, many nomadic pastoralist groups keep on moving from one place to another with their cattle. They move in search of good pasture for their herds of sheep, goats, and camels.
