Detailed Solution

The most important saints of Maharashtra were Namdev, Eknath and Tukaram.
Namdev, also transliterated as Nam Dayv, Namdeo, Namadeva, was a Marathi Hindu poet and saint from Narsi, Hingoli, Maharashtra, India, within the Varkari tradition of Hinduism. He lived as a disciple of Lord Vitthal of Pandharpur. Sant Eknath, commonly referred to as Sant Eknath, was an Indian Hindu saint, philosopher, and poet. He was a friend of the divinity Vitthal and may be a major figure of the Warkari tradition. Eknath is usually viewed as a spiritual successor to the prominent Marathi saints Dnyaneshwar and Namdev. Sant Tukaram Maharaj was a 17th-century Marathi poet, and Hindu saint popularly referred to as Tuka, Tuko Baraya, or Tukoba in Maharashtra. He was a Sant of Varkari sampradaya - that venerates the god Vithoba - in Maharashtra, India. He was a part of the egalitarian, personalised Varkari devotionalism tradition.
