Detailed Solution

The Mughals did not believe in Primogeniture for succession.
The Mughals disapproved of the principle of Primogeniture, according to which the eldest son received the inheritance from his father. No structure in place guaranteed the firstborn child the right to succeed, unlike the feudal system where the eldest son received the entire estate of an intestate. Instead, they adopted the coparcenary inheritance practice of the Mughals and the Timurids or the distribution of the inheritance among all the sons. This would sometimes cause discontent and rebellion in the family. Often, some children of the ruler were not satisfied, which led to rebellion, hostility, and jealousy, and sometimes it took a violent turn.
