Detailed Solution

The municipality is headed by the mayor, and the municipal corporation is headed by a municipal Corporation.
In India, the Mayor is the ceremonial head of the Municipal Corporation as they are selected through oblique election via the Councillors from amongst themselves for one year. However, in 9 states, specifically Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Uttarakhand, the mayor is immediately elected.
The Municipal Commissioner is the leader and government head of the Municipal Corporation in India. The country's authorities appoint them from the Indian Administrative Service. They are accountable for heading the executive workforce of the municipal corporation, enforcing the decisions, and preparing its annual budget.
