The name of the chief minister of Ajatshatru was Vasakar. He sowed the seeds of division among Vajji with great diplomacy. Never did he like witnessing Vajji's tranquility. He constantly plotted against everyone. Ajatshatru dispatched Vasakara to the Buddha to inquire about Vaishali's seemingly limitless power.
