Detailed Solution

The Napoleonic Code, or Civil Code of 1804, abolished all privileges based on birth, guaranteed equality before the law, and secured property rights. The areas governed by France received this code. Napoleon eliminated the feudal system, streamlined administrative divisions, and released peasants from serfdom and manorial dues in the Dutch Republic, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. The guild limitations were also lifted in the towns. In addition, systems for transportation and communication were enhanced. The freedom was relished by labourers, peasants, artisans, and new business owners.
