Detailed Solution

The natural cause of the Kheda Satyagraha was plague and crop failure.
The people of the Kheda could not pay the revenue because they were affected by the plague epidemic. Therefore, the Satyagraha was launched in the Kheda district of Gujarat in 1917. This struggle was organised for the peasants, who suffered from famine and plague and could not pay the revenues. So, they demanded the revenue collection be reduced. Thus with the help of Gandhiji, this third act of Satyagraha was launched. The revolt was astounding in terms of unity, and the peasants of Kheda stood firmly against the oppressive colonial government.
