Detailed Solution

We are given the quadratic equation 2𝑥2 − 5𝑥 + 1 = 0, and we have to find what kind of roots this equation has.

The general quadratic equation is  ax +  bx + c = 0,

Comparing both equations, we get

a = 2

b = - 5

c = 1

Now, discriminant, D = b - 4ac

D = (-  5)2    -  4  x 2 x 1

D = -3

D< 0

As the value of the discriminant is less than 0, the given equation has no real roots. Hence, the correct option is (c) No real roots.
