Detailed Solution

The new migrants coming to Delhi saw a change of culture; the social milieu of Delhi was based on Urdu.
The migration changed the culture of Delhi; with a large population inflow from Punjab, Delhi's social milieu based on Urdu culture was overshadowed by this new diversity. The new migrants coming to Delhi after the partition were rural landlords, lawyers, teachers or traders, and small shopkeepers. After the partition, both newly formed nations faced the issue of refugees and their resettlement. In Delhi alone, 5 Lakhs of refugees came in, with different backgrounds and cultures. The migrants had to take up new jobs as hawkers, vendors, carpenters, and ironsmiths as their old jobs, such as landlords, lost relevance here as they were now landless.
