Detailed Solution

The Non-Cooperation-Khilafat Movement began on August 31, 1931.
The Gandhian protest against the British began with the Non-Cooperation Movement. In 1915, Gandhiji returned to India and organised rallies of peasants and labourers against the atrocities committed against them, as in Kheda, Champaran, and Ahmedabad. At the beginning of Non-Cooperation, Gandhi stated that "the only viable method to avenge national honour and to prevent a repetition of the wrongs in the future is the establishment of Swaraj" in response to the suppressive actions of the British. Mahatma Gandhi, therefore, launched the Non-cooperation campaign on August 31, 1919. The Khilafat Movement was the inspiration behind the founding of the Movement.
