Detailed Solution

The non-cooperation began in January 1921. During this period large masses of council elections were boycotted but some parties and groups did not favour the non-cooperation movement, for example, the justice party of Madras. However, this movement started with the large participation of the masses by boycotting foreign goods, and products, burnt foreign cloth on bonfires. And merchants and traders also refused to trade in foreign goods. Indian students boycotted the educational institute of the British government. Indian lawyers refused to attend the courts and accept the brittle and honour by the British government. Many political leaders refused to attend the council and legislature.
