Detailed Solution

The Non-Cooperation movement began in the year 1920. The Indian National Congress (INC), led by Mahatma Gandhi, adopted the Non-Cooperation Movement at a Congress meeting in Calcutta on September 5, 1920. It represented the beginning of a new era in the Indian history of freedom struggle. The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre prompted the launch of the Non-Cooperation Movement, but it was abandoned after the Chauri Chaura tragedy in 1922.
