Detailed Solution

The Non-Cooperation movement was adopted in the Nagpur sessions of the Indian National Congress.
Gandhi announced the beginning of the Non-Cooperation Movement in August 1920. The INC approved the resolution of the Non-Cooperation Movement at its meeting in Calcutta in September. However, many Congressmen were worried about the movement's proposals and that it might result in violence. Thus there was a heated argument within Congress from September through December. Finally, Congress reassembled for a session at Nagpur in December 1920. At this session, a compromise between the movement's supporters and opponents was finally reached, and officially adopted the Non-Cooperation Movement. Therefore Gandhiji's intention to get the resolution of the Non-Cooperation movement passed in the Calcutta session succeeded only in the Nagpur session in 1920.
