They are the Ganga plain, Punjab plain and Brahmaputra plain. The Ganga plain is found in Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and parts of Jharkhand and West Bengal. The Ganga plain is located between the rivers Ghaggar and Teesta. The Punjab Plains are the western portion of the Northern Plain. The core of this plain is in Pakistan, formed by the Indus and its tributaries. The Brahmaputra plain is located in the east, namely in Assam.
