Detailed Solution

The notion of Satyagraha underscored the power of truth.
In January 1915, Mahatma Gandhi returned to India from South Africa, where he successfully fought the racist regime with a novel method of mass agitation known as Satyagraha. It implied that if the cause was just and the struggle was for justice, physical force was not required to fight the oppressor. A Satyagrahi could win the battle without resorting to violence or seeking vengeance. It could be achieved by appealing to the oppressor's sense of morality. People, such as rulers, had to be persuaded to see the truth instead of aggressively accepting it. The truth was destined to triumph as a result of this struggle. Mahatma Gandhi believed that non-violent dharma could bring all Indians around each other.
