2-butanone contains two types of acidic hydrogen (α-hydrogen) that can participate in tautomerization.

Here, participation of α-hydrogen atoms numbered 1 gives only one enol tautomer while, participation of those numbered 2 gives two enol tautomers (E and Z-forms).
