The number of moles of KMnO4 that will be required for one mole of ferrous oxalate to completely react in an acidic solution is 35.The oxidising agent potassium permanganate is very potent. Both the oxalate ion and the iron(II) ion are oxidised.
Oxidation of oxalate:  2MnO4-+16H++5C2O42-2Mn2++8H2O+10CO2
Iron(II) oxidation:          MnO4-+8H++5Fe2+Mn2++4H2O+5Fe3+
