The number of real roots of the equation  $x\left|x\right|-5|x+2|+6=0$  is 

  If  $x<-2\Rightarrow -x^2+5(x+2)+6=0$
   $\Rightarrow x^2-5x-16=0$                         
  $b^2-4ac=25+64=89>0$                          

 If  $-2<x<0\Rightarrow -x^2-5(x+2)+6=0$
$\Rightarrow x^2+5x+4=0$                                  
$\Rightarrow x=-1,-4$    but  $-4\notin (-2,0)$
         If  $x<2\Rightarrow x^2+5x+16=0$
          $b^2-4ac<0$ , so no real roots.
