Detailed Solution

The number of troops increased in the British Army because of Indians and Europeans.
In the army during the 1857 uprising, there were six soldiers for every European. One European soldier was there out of the six present. One of the main arguments for the military cause was this, which made it simpler for many Indian warriors to join the 1857 uprising against the British. The Company began hiring professional soldiers in place of sowars and paidal (foot) soldiers. The Company's soldiers were now armed with matchlocks and muskets. The British started to create a rigid military culture. Soldiers were being forced to more and more discipline, drill, and training in the European tradition that governed their lives more and more than previously.
