Detailed Solution

The official religion of the Indian state is none.
India is a secular state. There are a lot of religious communities in India which co-exist live in the country, but it does not have any official religion of its own. Freedom of Religion is provided to all its citizens in Articles 25 - 28 of the Indian Constitution. Anyone can practise and propagate any religion of their choice as they want. Every citizen of India is provided equal rights nonetheless of the religion they belong to or follow. The country respects every religious community but does not give any religion the status of the official religion.
